Study 01 — In development

Tether

Presence as an interface.

Study 01 — Tether

One presence.
Held between two.

A quiet signal
is sent.

Felt by someone
you choose.

The signal holds the story.
A quiet way to say: I’m here.

Presence without pressure.

§ A quieter connection

Connection should not require
constant return to the screen.

When you feel depleted, checking in should not mean reopening the entire world of your phone.

Tether offers a quieter way to stay connected — without turning presence into another stream of notifications.

A quiet way to say: I’m here.

§ Description

Tether is a relational object designed for moments when language feels too distant, demanding or incomplete.

A quiet signal can be sent between chosen people — without explanation, performance or the expectation of an immediate reply.

The story, held in signal. Presence without pressure.

§ Optional Beta Study

Not every moment needs
another notification.

Connection can remain.
The screen can wait.

A shift, held quietly.

No label. No demand to respond.

Return when you have capacity.

Patterns may become visible.

Interpretation remains yours.

Beta interface — Moment detected: a shift, held quietly.
Beta interface — Pattern view: a similar pattern has appeared before.

Stay connected
without staying on-screen.

Presence can travel quietly. Reflection can wait until you are ready.

Study 02 — Pioneer beta

Tether Sense

Sometimes the body notices first.

Tether Sense is an optional research edition exploring how subtle changes in rhythm, movement and physiological response might help surface moments worth returning to.

It does not decide what you feel.

It offers a moment of attention, followed by reflection only when you choose it.

Sense is optional and distinct from Tether Presence. Not every Tether bracelet continuously senses or interprets the wearer.

01Notice

A meaningful shift from your personal baseline may be surfaced.

Moment Detected — a timeline of the day with a body signal noted.Context around this moment — location, activity, time and notes.Reflection prompt — quiet questions to return through.Your insight — recurring patterns across recent days.Support options — journal, breathing, someone to talk to, resources.

Patterns, not labels.

A moment is not a diagnosis.

Over time, Tether Sense may help reveal recurring rhythms, contexts and shifts while leaving interpretation with the person experiencing them.

Meaning remains human.

01

Attention, not alarm.

02

Reflection, not surveillance.

03

Support, not intrusion.

Tether Presence

  • — Light and optional touch
  • — No continuous physiological sensing
  • — Meaning belongs to the relationship

Tether Sense Pioneer

An optional beta exploring patterns, reflection and a quieter relationship with technology.

  • — Includes the Presence experience
  • — Optional sensing
  • — Moment-detection beta
  • — Reflection and pattern tools
  • — Pioneer feedback participation
